In my hall for people with an average income, or economy class, the coaching staff is well prepared, but only two coaches give non-standard exercises. The rest stably “grow bodybuilders”, not releasing them far from the barbell and dumbbells. Stretching after strength training regularly teach only me. And four coaches from the direction of aerobics, that is, everyone does not understand how to work on “complex” strength simulators, do not know the techniques of basic power movements. Some athletes who train on the water or in the gym periodically record something in a training diary. These, of course, are not poetic sketches or sudden, brilliant ideas from the field of science. Just the habit of many athletes, athletes included keeping a training diary.

Adam van Coverden on rowing and training
“Everyone has heard about canoes and kayaks, but not everyone knows how we handle them.” Many take years to find their vocation, but not Adam van Koeverden. The goal was right in front of him – written in black and white.
“Future Champions are wanted”
On one of the pages of the local newspaper, the Canadian boy, who was destined to become an Olympic champion, clearly saw a picture from his own future. The attention of his mother was attracted by a small announcement in the next, unremarkable issue of Oakville Beaver. The advertisement promised laurels, glory and a bright future for the new stars in the rowing world and was titled appropriately: “Future Champions Wanted”. Continue reading
